1. what they smell like: faintvanilla, sometimes dust and mildew from books, or gun grease—- depending on the day 2. how they sleep (sleeping position, schedule, etc): fetal position, if sleeping. Horrendous sleep pattern, but ironically is able to sleep anywhere. 3. what music they enjoy: her tastes are eclectic 4. how much time they spend getting ready every morning: not long— shower, brush and put up her hair, maybe some make up depending on the situation, have her caf and a quick breakfast. 5. their favorite thing to collect: artifacts, armor, weapons, books, jewelry… 6. left or right-handed: ambidextrous, favors her right 7. religion (if any): she follows Unifying Force, and the Manda. 8. favorite sport: fencing, surfing, and mesh’geroya 9. favorite touristy thing to do when traveling: inspect their local antique shops, visit their museum or any ruins they might have 10. favorite kind of weather: warm, temperate weather. She had been roused from her sleep with a gentle pressure of lips against her temple, a large, warm hand gently stroking her back. Groaning, Kar propped herself up on her elbow, scrutinizing the man who woke her, squinting with her brow knit and furrowed.
Su’cuy Karlii, ni cuyi Kalkot Rez. You can call me Kal for short (I know, most common Mando’a name ever). Love your Mando’a tutorial audio posts. Just wanted to say it’s great to see the culture perpetuated. As silly as it might sound, I kind of consider myself Mandalorian in a real, cultural sense.
I’d like to hear from you. I’m always up for making new friends.
[[Su’cuy gar Kal! Both IC and OOC, I’m known as Kar. Vor’e for the the message!
It’s not silly— I do try to live life as Mandalorian as real life can allow myself the best I can! I’m no soldier but I am a mercenary Artist/Designer.
“Your soulmate is not someone that comes into your life peacefully. It is who comes to make you question things, who changes your reality, somebody that marks a before and after in your life. It is not the human being everyone has idealized, but an ordinary person, who manages to revolutionize your world in a second…”—Everything you love is here (via revvupyourharley)
I never doubted that, dear. Frankly I don’t know you enough to say otherwise, though neither do I know enough about being an ambassador to call out mistakes. And seeing as your a direct line to your culture, I’m not about to do something stupid.
I could be of some service to you then. I make a career out of telling stories, and I wouldn’t mind spending some time with yours. When time is a little more suited for both of us of course. Coffee and planning would come first.
Hmm. The obvious question first— what made you decide to make a settlement here?
Thank you. I do appreciate it
Of course. Like I said, I am usually to personally handle it— or my assistants Vera or Sophia will handle it should I be occupied.
As for the the what…necessity. If you were marooned in a place, with no hope or way of return, you have to find some place to settle and rebuild your life, yes?
Try to imagine you were forced to live in a less advanced place, with no idea at all how things are here, everything a complete unknown. Your translators don’t work because they don’t know the language, can’t talk to anyone…you’d want some sort of familiarity. Not to mention my sister was pregnant and needed a place to raise a child.
We found the planet, kinda found the old fort to suit our needs, we kinda stayed on Omega until we could finish fixing it up— money from Merc work. I spent months playing translator— my innate talents help me understand language, allowing me to modify our translators eventually. But it took time to translate properly, obviously. But the arrangement worked well enough, so I sort of became this unspoken representative of sorts…then officially.
